bunting over glass - 1

bunting over glass - 1 - BA Great Britons Plane Design Competition 2011-12
My idea for the BA design was to make the plane look as though it was made of glass. I thought this would be a fantastic trompe l'oeil effect, and it would be amazing to watch a plane land, thinking that it could shatter!

The glass idea was also a nod to the iconic Gherkin building in London and to the leaded window panes in traditional English houses.

This design was for the main body of the plane, with a line of bunting running the length of the fuselage as an image of inclusivity and celebration.

I based the colours of the bunting in this design on some of the 2012 colours.
